About

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. For me it was never a hobby. It is how I live.

I love nature, and most of all I love noticing light: low sun across a field, a gold edge on a tree, the last glow on the water before dusk. These moments are quiet and gone in a minute. I paint them so they stay.

I work in oil pastel on small sheets of paper, blending the colour with my fingers and scratching fine details back into the layers at the end, so grass and branches catch the light.

I want each piece to carry a little of that light into someone else's home, and to give them the same joy it gives me every time I see it.

Series · What the Sea Remembers

A small series away from my fields and forests: shells, a fossil, a wave. Things the sea leaves behind, and the light that still lives in them. The series is growing, and new pieces will appear here as they are finished.

About the frames

Every work comes framed with a mat, and the frame is included in the price. I choose each frame myself to suit the particular piece — its colours, mood and size — so frames vary from work to work rather than following one standard style. They're simple and protective, so the painting is ready to hang as soon as it arrives.
